Pastor Mark has been the pastor of Calvary Chapel of Ark City since 1979. He and
his wife, Ann, lived in Winfield, a small town just north of Ark City, where
Mark was a Police Officer prior to entering the pastorate on a full-time basis.

Calvary Chapel of Ark City was originally planted in 1976 by Pastor Joe Crowley
who came back to Kansas from Harvest Fellowship (the Calvary Chapel of
Riverside, California with pastor Greg Laurie). Joe left Ark City in 1979 to
plant a Calvary Chapel in Wellington, about 40 miles west of Ark City.

Mark and Ann found Calvary Chapel in 1977 and became active in several
ministries. Mark became an assistant pastor while still a Police Officer. When
Pastor Joe left, Mark and Ann prayed and sought God's wisdom about leaving the
security of Law Enforcement to enter the unknowns of full-time Pastoral
ministry. With God leading and directing through a number of miraculous
circumstances, they took that first step on this journey which has now lasted 30
years!

Mark and Ann have two married daughters, Lisa and husband Robert Holland; and
Kara and husband Jeff Trujillo. They also have three grandchildren: Tanner,
Alex and Jenna.
