God had been working on my heart all my growing up years. But I finally came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior in March of 1970 in Denver, Colorado, and immediately felt a calling to the ministry.

The Lord answered that prayer by moving our family from Denver Colorado to Winfield Kansas in 1975. Our family became involved in Calvary Chapel of Ark City, a few miles south of Winfield, and I served in the ministry there while I was a Police Officer in Winfield. I eventually became the assistant Pastor while still in Law Enforcement.

In 1979, the pastor felt called to plant another Calvary Chapel in another community, and I stepped into the pastorate, leaving behind the security of a steady salary, health insurance and a wonderful retirement package, to step into the unknown...with a much better retirement package!

My wife, Ann, was a little reluctant at first, but trusted the lord and supported my decision.

That was over 30 years ago and God has been faithful the entire way! We have watched our two wonderful daughters grow into beautiful young women and begin families of their own, presenting us with three awesome grandkids between them!

God took myu wife home in 2010 after a three year bout with Lou Gehrig's Disease (A.L.S.), but He continues to be faithful in every way!

My heart's desire is still to bring people into a deep and loving relationship with the Savior and see them grow and reproduce their faith in the lives of others.
