Pastor/Elder Ryan Nichols

Hi, My name is Ryan Nichols and I lead the Youth here at Calvary Chapel.

I was born and raised here at this church and though saved at a young age I did not really get serious in my walk with the Lord until I was 17. It was at that time I knew I was called to serve the Lord. After Bible college I lived in Kansas City for several years. It was at this time that I met my wife. Recently the Lord called us to Ark City and we have been blessed to be here. In leading the yourth I put a big emphasis on prayer and the word. We always start with prayer request time and then have a bible study. After that we play games or some such thing. I don't do a lot of morality lessons, I just take the kids through the word. I believe that the word of God changes the lives, minds and hearts of people. If kids know the word and Jesus the morality takes care of itself. Therefore I put a major emphasis on teaching and encouraging the kids to have a personal devotional life. My prayer is just simply to be used by the Lord. Be Blessed.
